ABOUT THE CWU
The Communication Workers’ Union of Trades Union Congress(Ghana) is responsible for organizing workers within the communication industry in Ghana into a trade Union. The Union can trace its root way back in time and has many decades of experience operating in the communication field. As far back as 1945, the Union was Postal and Telecom (P&T) Workers Union before its name later change into Communication Workers’ Union due to the wide selection of occupations and sectors it now covers. These include: Postal, Courier, Telecoms, Electronic media, Print media, Call Centres and Business Process Outsourcing (BPOs), Technology and new media.

• To provide first class collective representation for all CWU members. • To expand Trade Union membership throughout the communication industry. • To campaign against all forms of discrimination. • To secure fair pay and safe conditions for communication workers.

We are determined to build an autonomous, effective union that defends workers' rights and promotes their economic, social, and political interests—free from employer interference—upholding labour dignity
